News Update
1. Rev. Fr. Prior General left for Rome on 24th May, 2016. He attended the Union of Superior Generals (USG) meeting from 25th to 27th May in Salesianum, Rome. It was followed by the canonical visitation of our members in Rome. He had meeting with Cardinal Leonardo Sandri, the Prefect of the Oriental Congregation, Archbishop Cryil Vasil, Secretary and other office bearers on 30th May, 2016.
2. The inauguration of the Ruby Jubilee of CIIS, Rome was held on 28th May, 2016. Rev. Fr. Prior General inaugurated the Ruby Jubilee. Rev. Fr. Isaac Arickappallil gave the welcome address and presented the history of the centre. Music concert consisting of Indian and Italian songs was presented during the occasion.
3. A get together member of CMI and CMC congregations was held in CMI Procura along with the Generals of the two congregations in CMI Procura, Rome on 27th May, 2016. The program consisted of prayer, sharing and dinner. Around 30 members, fathers and sisters together, participated in it.
4. Prior General reached Germany on 4th June, 2016. He met with our members in and around Bonn on 5th June and had the meeting with CMI German Delegation Council on 6th, 2016. He had the visitation of our members in Delegation house and members studying in Philosophical-Theological University of the Pallottines at Vallendar (PTHV). He will leave for Brazil on 10th June, 2016.
5. Fr. Joy Peenickaparambil, Christ Monastery, Irinjalakuda, was awarded Vanasree 2016 Kerala Government Social Forestry Award in connection with World Environment Day. Congratulations.
6. On 8th - 11th May 2016 aspirants rectors, formation co-ordinators and vocation promoters had an in-service training program at Chavara Hills, Kakkanad. Fr. Prior General inaugurated the training programme.
7. Quinquennial program for the junior priests of CMI Congregation of this year 1st batch took place from 22-25 May 2016 at Chavara Hills. Next Quinquennial program will take place from 12-15 August 2016 at Chavara Hills, Kakkanad.
8. Fr. Varghese Vithayathil, Vicar General and Fr. George Thanchan conducted an orientation program for the seminarians in Carmel Vidya Bhavan, Pune, on 02-04 June 2016.
9. 12. Fr. Sebastian Thekkedath went to New York to visit our Members.
10. Chavara Chair: a meeting of the Chavara Chair conducted in Chavara Cultural centre, Kochi. Dr. Babu Sebastian, Vice Chancellor of MG University and Dr. Anand Boss were the chief guests.
11. This year we have 240 aspirants from all the provinces in our congregation
12. Vachanatheeram Retreat Centre in Cheepumkal under St. Joseph's Province, Trivandrum, constructed a new retreat hall and a chapel. Archbishop Mar Joseph Perumthottam blessed them on 4th June 2016. Fr. Antony Elamthottam participated in the function.
13. Meeting of the Finance councillors and Auditors, of our congregation met at Chavara Hills on 29th May 2016 under the guidance of Fr. Antony Elamthottam, General Councillor and Fr. Johny Edapulavan, General Auditor.

. Mrs. Thresia Joseph (90), beloved Mother of Fr. Mammachan Puthenveedu CMI (Mathew, St. Joseph's Province, TVM), slept in the Lord on 23.05.2016.
. Mr. Jose Chirepadickal (67), beloved father of Fr. Jaison Chirepadickal CMI (Sacred Heart Province, Kochi), slept in the Lord on 02.06.2016.
. Mr. Augustine K C (71), beloved father of Rev. Fr. Titus (Joseph) Puravakkattu CMI (St. Xavier's Province, Rajkot), left for his eternal reward on 03.06.2016.
. Mrs. Eliakutty (94), beloved mother of Rev. Fr. Raphael Kurian CMI (Devamatha Province, Thrissur), slept in the Lord on 08.06.2016.
