1. Let us pray for peace and unity in Church in India. Let us ask the intercession of our beloved founder, St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara for the amicable settlement of the issues connected with the land deals in Ernakulam Angamaly Archdiocese. Along with our Friday Fasting on 16th March 2018, let us spend time with the Eucharistic Lord to pray for our Major Archbishop, bishops, priests, religious and the laity.



2. Atrocities against Christians and other minorities are on rise in India. Pushpa Mission Hospital, Ujain was attacked by 60 masked men and they roughed up nurses and other staff members. They forcibly occupied part of a Catholic hospital’s land. Let us be united in prayer for maintaining constitutional rights and enhancing the sense of equality, fraternity and nonviolence in our mother country.



3. Rev. Fr. Tom Uzhunnalil SDB visited Chavara Hills on 8 March 2018 and spent time with Chavara Hills community and shared his experience of 557 days of terrorist captivity in war-torn Yemen. It was a touching experience to listen to his missionary passion and his God experience during the days in captivity.



4. Gathering of CMIs ordained between 1960 and 1969 was held from 9 March 2018 to 11 March 2018 at Chavara Hills. 73 members attended the programme. Rev. Fr. Vicar General welcomed the gathering and Rev. Fr. Prior General gave the inaugural message. Rev. Fr. Paul Thelakkat and Rev. Fr. Augustine Pamplany CST gave inputs. The personal sharing of experiences of the participants was very enriching for the entire community. Thanks to the General Council Team, Rev. Fr. Joshy Cheruparambil, the General Formation Coordinator and Chavara Hills community for organizing the event. Special prayers were held during the adoration and Holy Mass for the unity of mother Church.



5. Gathering of CMIs ordained in 2016 will be held from 6 pm 13 March 2018, to 04.00 pm 15 March 2018, at CMI Prior General’s House, Chavara Hills, Kakkanad.



6. Rev. Fr. Prior General will make the canonical visitation in Kainakary, Karikkamury, Kakkadampoil and Niravilpuzha from 15th to 20th March 2018.Canonical visitation and Renewal Program in the provinces will begin after Easter.



7. Get together of the newly professed CMIs will be held in Chavara Hills from 7th evening to 10th evening in April 2018.



8. The one month immediate preparatory programme for the perpetual profession of our scholastics will commence in Chavara Hills Kakkanad on 22nd April 2018.



9. CMI Media Meet to be organized by the General Department of Education and Mass Media will be held on April 30th and May 1st 2018 at Chavara Hills. All the CMIs engaged in media ministry including cultural and dialogue centres shall attend the programme.



10. Higher Education Round Table - A Two-day conference of the CMIs working in the field of Higher Education will be held on August 3rd and 4th 2018 at Chavara Hills, Kakkanad.



11. One Day Seminar for Fresh Teachers in CMI educational institutions on ‘CMI Vision of Education’ at Chavara Hills on August 18, 2018



12. CMI Board of Education Meet and a seminar on CMI Vision of Education at Chavara Hills on August 18 -19, 2018 at Chavara Hills



13. Round Table for CMIs Teaching/Administering in CMI Schools: October 19th-20th, 2018 at Christ University Engineering Campus, Mysore Road, Bangalore.



Let us remember the departed soul

· Mr. Josekutty Joseph (65), beloved elder brother of Rev. Fr. Vinod Kanattu CMI of St. Chavara Province Bhavnagar, slept in the Lord on 09-03-2018 and the funeral was on Sunday, 11-03-2018, at St. Dominic Church Mundackal, Pala.
