Wish you the blessings of the feast of Dukhrana of St .Thomas, our apostle.
Thomas said to him, "My Lord and my God!" (John 20:28). It is THE CONFESSION OF FATIH. It is nothing less than the Greek equivalent of the Hebrew name for God, Yahweh, Elohim.
Faith is something we ought to be grateful for because it is a gift. It is not granted to the wise and learned, but to little children. (Matthew 11:25) by Father in heaven (Matthew 16:17)
Faith is something that we ought to ask God for every day. Let us pray to the Lord, “Increase our faith!" (Luke 17:5)
Faith is conversing with the Lord. “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?” (John 14:5)
Faith is journeying to the Father through Jesus, the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6)
Faith is “Fiat”, Yes to the Lord. “Let it be to me according to your Word" (Luke 1:38). It is THE COMMITMENT of life, "Father, I entrust my spirit into your hands!" (Luke 23:46)
Faith blooms in persecution, suffering and martyrdom. Then Thomas said to the rest of the disciples, "Let us also go, that we may die with him." (John 11:16)
May this Dukhrana festival be an occasion to kindle afresh the gift of faith in us and share our faith to be true missionaries after the model of St. Thomas, our apostle!
