The Canonical visitation at Dharmaram College by Rev. Fr Prior General and General Team was held from February 27 to March 04, 2021. Quoting Pope Francis from Fratelli Tutti, Fr Prior General pointed out that the call to CMI-ness is to go beyond borders. Our generous openness and broadmindedness will help our community members to become “Neighbour without Borders”. Fr Prior General along with the General Council met the entire community members and different department members. The canonical visitations of the major study houses at Wardha, Bhopal, and Pune were also conducted by the General Team.
Consultor of the Pontifical Council for Legislative Texts
The Supreme Pontiff Pope Francis re-appointed Rev. Fr Varghese Koluthara CMI as the consultor of the Pontifical Council for Legislative Texts for another five years. The Pontifical Council for Legislative Texts is a dicastery of the Roman Curia. Its work “consists mainly in interpreting the laws of the Church” (Pastor Bonus, 154) and it works closely with the Signatura and the other Tribunals and the Pope. Best wishes and prayers!
New House at Uganda Mission
A new house was blessed in the Uganda Mission of the CMI Congregation and the Diocese Uganda officially declared St Joseph's Catholic Church, Kannyanda, as a Parish Church. Fathers from Bhopal Province, namely, Fr Saju Kollannur CMI, the parish priest, Fr Stenin Puthuran CMI, the director of the Carmelite House and Fr Dhibin Thekkeyil CMI are the members of the new house. Administering of the sacraments, providing pastoral care, visiting homes, visiting and distributing the communion to the sick, social support, etc. are the major ministries done here. Regents' Meet was conducted at Chavara Hills on 26th and 27th March, 2021. Rev. Fr Prior General and Vicar General congratulated and invited the scholastics to look forward to the future with greater enthusiasm. Fr Francis Manavalan CMI and Fr Cijo Chennathu CMI spoke on New Models of CMI Mission and Ministry. Congratulations to the General Formation Coordinator for organizing twenty-nine regents from Kerala to attend the meeting.

? Rev. Fr Antony Kuttikkat (Sr) CMI (72) (Devamatha Province, Thrissur) was called to eternal reward on 23 March 2021. He was an erudite scholar in English literature and a lover of books. He was also an excellent retreat preacher. The funeral was held on, 24 March 2021 at 02.30 pm at St Mary's Monastery, Elthuruth.

? Mr V. J. Eapen (80), beloved father of Rev. Fr Saji Valamangalam CMI (Sacred Heart Province, Kochi) was called for eternal reward on today, 30 March 2021. The funeral service was held at 03.00 pm on 31 March 2021, at St Sebastian's Church Ezhalloor, Thodupuzha.

? Mr Jose Aipe (75), beloved father of Rev. Fr Tizen Thekkekunnel CMI (St John’s Province, Bijnor) was called for eternal reward on today, 29 March 2021. The funeral service was held at 03.00 pm at St Sebastian's Church Ezhalloor, Thodupuzha.

? Mrs Rosy Thekkan (82) beloved mother of Rev. Fr Pauly Thekkan CMI (St Paul Province, Bhopal) was called for eternal reward on 27 March 2021. The funeral service was held on 29 March 2021 at 10.00 am at Fatima Matha Church, Pushpagiri, Chalakudy.

? Mr P. V. Sebastian (Devasikutty-83), beloved father of Rev. Fr Aji Parecattil CMI (SH Province, Kochi) was called for eternal reward on 26 March 2021. The funeral service was held on 27 March 2021 at 10.30 am at St George Basilica, Angamaly.

? Mr K.O. Varkey (92), beloved father of Rev. Fr Benny Karuvelil CMI and grandfather of Rev. Fr Geo Karuvelil CMI (Carmel Province, Muvattupuzha) was called for eternal reward on 25 March 2021. The funeral service was held on 26 March 2021 at 02.00 pm at St Mary’s Church, Mannookkad, Thommnkuthu.

? Mrs Mariyamma Thomas Mylickal (85) beloved mother of Rev. Fr Joby Mylickal CMI (St Xavier's Province, Rajkot) was called for eternal reward on 24 March 2021. The funeral service was held on 26 March 2021 at 11.00 am at St Joseph Church, Upputhodu, Idukki.

? Mrs Rosamma Joseph Vattoth (78), beloved younger sister of Rev. Fr Thomas Jaiswam Irupuzhickal CMI (Nirmal Province, Jagdalpur) was called for eternal reward on 20 March 2021. The funeral service was held on 22 March 2021 at 10.00 am at t. Antony's Church, Vellikulam.
