Silver Jubilee Celebration

Silver Jubilee of the Priestly Ordination of Priests of 1997 Batch of our Congregation was celebrated on 08-09 October 2022. The Jublerians shared their experience of their priestly life with Fr Prior General and General Councillors.

Rosary Celebrations

PG House Celebrated the traditional Japamalayarppanam of October from 11-20 of the month in the evening. Many people attended the 10 days Rosary and it was concluded with Snehavirunu on 20 October 2022.

In Service Programme

‘In Service’ – The animation programme for our aspirants rectors and novice masters was held on 25-27 October 2022. Rev. Dr Francis Puthussery SJ, Rector, De Nobili College, Pune was the resource person.

December 2022

Vocation Promoters’ Meeting

Vocation Promoters of the Congregation gathered on our General House on 16 & 17 December 2022 and shared their experience and expectations on vocation promotion with General Council. They highlighted on the challenges and need to re-design our Vacation Camps

Christmas Celebrations

The Christmas Celebrations of PG House with the staff was on 23 December 2022. Rev.Fr Prior General in his Christmas message mentioned about the need to have hope on the future. All the members exchanged their Christmas gifts and joy. Special gifts to all the staff members increased the joy of the celebration. The Christmas crib, under the leadership of Bro. Jackson, the Regent added the joy of the celebration.

January 2023

New General Formation Co-ordinator

Rev. Fr Jerin Thuruthel CMI is appointed as the new General Formation Co-ordinator of the Congregation. The General house community welcomed Fr Jerin and thanked Rev. Fr Joshy Cheruparampil, the outgoing General Formation Co-ordinator.

Silver Jubilee

Priests of 1998 Batch of the Congregation gathered in our General House on 01 & 02 January 2023 for their Silver Jubilee Celebration of Priestly Ordination. Rev. Fr Antony Njallampuzha CMI gave the Jubilee message and jublerians shared their experience with the General Council.

Welcome to the Newly Ordained Priests

This year our Congregation is blessed with 22 newly ordained priests and they gathered at our General House on 03 & 04 January 2023. They offered the Holy Qurbana and thanked the Congregation for the support and care towards them. Fr General wished them with the message of ‘becoming empowering CMI priests beyond borders’.

Major Superiors’ Meeting

The meeting of General Council, Provincials and Vicar Provincials was held on 04 & 05 January 2023 at our General House. General Team thanked Provincials and Vicar Provincials for their dedication and service for the last three years.

Blessing Foundation Stone for the New Block

The Foundation Stone for the new block in PG House was blessed on 05 January 2023 by Rev. Fr Prior General, in the presences of General Councillors, Provincials and Vicar Provincials of the Congregation. All are waiting for the successful completion of the building.

Silver Jubilee of Rev. Fr Martin Mallath CMI

The Silver Jubilee of Priestly Ordination of Rev. Fr Martin Mallathu CMI, the General Councillor for Education was celebrated on 05 January 2023 with the Major Superiors of the Congregation and his family members. Rev. Fr Benny Nalkkara, Provincial, S H Province, Kochi delivered the homily during the jubilee Mass. Rev. Fr James Thayil, Provincial, St Xavier’s Province, Rajkot felicitated him during the jubilee gathering.

Freshers’ Day

On 09 January 2023, the First Year Aspirants of South Indian Provinces gathered in our General House for the Freshers’ Day Celebration. Bishop Mar Sebastian Vaniyapurackal, (Curia Bishop, Mount St Thomas, Kakkand) offered Holy Qurbana for them and delivered the homily. The Aspirants introduced themselves to the community and the day was concluded with their beautiful performances.

Holistic Animation Programme

As part of on-going formation, 19 priests of the Congregation attended the first module of Holistic Animation Programme from 15-28 January 2023 at General House. The aim of the Programme is to equip our young members with deep knowledge in ecclesiastical subjects and administration and pastoral care. Experts from different diocese and congregations engaged the sessions.

Reception to Bishop Elect Mar John Panamthottam CMI

Prior General’s House community gave a warm reception to Mar John Panamthottam CMI, Bishop elect of the Diocese of Melbourne, Australia on 18 January 2023. CMI Priests from nearby communities joined for the celebration. Rev. Fr Thomas Thekkel, Provincial, St Thomas Province, Kozhikode felicitated Bishop John Panamthottam CMI.

Plus One and Plus Two Students’ Gathering

The gathering of the Plus One and Plus Two Students’ was held on 22 January 2023. The aspirants from most of the South Indian provinces attended the session. Rev. Fr General offered Holy Qurbana for them. Special Prayers and blessings for the exams were heart touching. Mr Jith George, Jesus Youth activist engaged the session and it was concluded with Eucharistic adoration in the evening.

February 2023

Quinquennial of 2021-22 Batch

Quinquennial, the meeting for the junior priests for the batch 2021-22 was on 10-12 February 2023 at PG House. Around 36 priests attended the meeting and shared their experiences as the junior most priests of the Congregation. The enriching sessions and outing to Vypin increased the spirit of the gathering.

Quinquennial of 2015-16 Batch

Quinquennial for 2015-16 Batch was on 17-19 February 2023. Around 25 priests attend the session with great enthusiasm. They shared their experiences, views and dreams on the Congregation.

UTSAH 2023-Regents' Meeting

The meeting for the regents of the Congregation was on 21-23 February 2023. Regents from different provinces including north-Indian provinces attended the session and they were around 60 in number. They conducted a pilgrimage to Malayattoor Kurishumudy.
